Sometimes, we think no one can see the wounds we carry in our hearts.
Maybe someone you love has hurt you through their words or actions. Maybe something you had been waiting for a long time never happened. Perhaps you have dreams that remain unfulfilled, disappointments you don’t know how to process, or frustrations you’ve quietly carried for longer than you’d like to admit.
There are so many things that can hurt our hearts.
But today, I want to remind you of something:
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
— Psalm 147:3
There is a God who sees you.
He knows your pain, even the pain you haven’t been able to put into words. There is no wound in your heart that He is unaware of. There is no pain you are experiencing that goes unnoticed by Him.
And although we may not always understand why certain things happen, we can trust that God is still God in the middle of our pain. He can take the things that have broken us and work through them to reveal His faithfulness, His power, and His grace in our lives.
You don’t have to hide your wounds from Him.
God invites you to come to Him with a contrite and humble heart. You can come just as you are with your questions, your tears, your disappointments, and even the things you still don’t know how to let go of.
Because maybe other people don’t fully understand what you’re going through, but the Lord does.
He listens when you pray, and even when you can’t find the words to pray. He is present in those moments when the silence feels overwhelming.
So don’t carry alone what God is inviting you to surrender to Him.
Rest in the Lord.
Allow Him into the places in your heart that still hurt. Allow Him to heal what you cannot heal on your own.
Maybe the wound is still there, but that doesn’t mean God is absent.
He is still near to the brokenhearted.
And as you walk through this process, remember: the God who knows your pain is also the God who can sustain you through it.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18
You may not have all the answers right now.
You may not understand why it happened.
You may still be healing.
But you don’t have to heal alone.
God is near.
